11 Iranian pilgrims abducted in Syria released

TEHRAN, Feb. 7 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast announced on Tuesday that 11 Iranian pilgrims who had been abducted in Syria have been released “with the help of friendly countries.” Iranians have been the target of abduction by unknown gunmen in Syria over the past few months. Iranian officials have advised citizens not to go on bus trips to Syria in view of the political situation in the Arab country.
