461 candidates register for parliamentary elections in Iran

TEHRAN, Dec. 26 (MNA) – Until 13:45 pm local time on Sunday, four hundred and sixty-one candidates, including 21 females, registered for the March parliamentary elections. The registration of candidates for the parliamentary elections, which will be held on March 2, began on Saturday and will continue until Friday, after which the Guardian Council will start vetting the candidates. Those candidates, who gain the approval of the Guardian Council, will run for parliament’s 290 seats.
