Azerbaijani state program for regions’ development has serious results, top official says

Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb.29 / Trend E. Mehdiyev / Azerbaijani government is very pleased with the facts and figures related to the success achieved over three years, which were presented at a conference on the results of the third year of fulfillment of the "State Program of Socio-Economic Development of Azerbaijani Regions in 2009-2013", Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Social and Political Department Chief Ali Hasanov told Trend on Wednesday. "As is known, it has already been three years since the program has been fulfilled and it has serious results. The conference analyzed the issues related to infrastructure projects implemented in the regions over three years, eliminating unemployment, poverty reduction, use of economic potential and resources of villages, development of the agricultural sector, industry, state funds allocated, in particular, to the processing industry," Hasanov said. He said all tasks envisaged by the State Program are being fulfilled. "At the conference Azerbaijani President once again outlined the existing problems, challenges and obligations under this program for the remaining two years - for the current year and 2013, and also made recommendations in this regard," Hasanov said. A conference on the results of the third year of fulfillment of the "State Program of Socio-Economic Development of Azerbaijani Regions in 2009-2013" was held at Baku Expo Center on Feb.28.
