Funeral procession held for 17 Iranian military personnel

TEHRAN, Nov. 16(MNA) – Funeral processions were held on Monday for 17 personnel of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps who were martyred in two explosions at a munitions depot, about 40 kilometers southwest of Tehran. Major General Hassan Tehrani Moqaddam, the director of the IRGC Jihad Self-Sufficiency Organization, was among those martyred in the incident on Saturday. The event was attended by the Supreme Leader, senior military officials, Majlis speaker, Judiciary chief, Supreme National Security Council secretary, Tehran mayor, intelligence minister, a number of other officials, and a large number of ordinary people. The Supreme Leader held talks with the family members of the martyrs on the sidelines of the ceremony.
