IAEA releases new report on Iran

Vienna, Aug 30, IRNA – A new report by the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Yukiya Amano, on Iran's peaceful nuclear energy activities was released late Thursday and copies of it were submitted to the members of IAEA's board of governors. The Western countries led by the US are trying to make believe that the Islamic Republic of Iran is trying to gain access to nuclear weapons, while IR Iran denies such allegations insisting that it is seeking the peaceful nuclear energy for civilian purposes. Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said once again in Tehran on Thursday that Iran's nuclear program has been entirely peaceful. 'Our motto is nuclear energy for all and nuclear weapons for none,' Ayatollah Khamenei told in his speech addressing the Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Tehran on Thursday. Meanwhile, Islamic Republic of Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi during a meeting with the visiting UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in Tehran on Thursday, said: 'The West has put sanctions on Iran for so many years, however the Iranians continue to resist and make progress.'
