Iran’s former Majlis speaker criticizes S. Arabia’s policies

TEHRAN, Jan. 31 (MNA) – Former Iranian Majlis speaker roundly criticized the policies adopted by the Saudi Arabia during a speech at the 7th Session of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) Member States Conference in Palembang, Indonesia, on Monday. In his speech, Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri, the founder of the parliamentary union, asked, “What has happened that Madinat an-Nabi, which was supposed to be the symbol of justice (and) the fortress of justice and equality, has become a place of oppression and inequality in less than 100 years.” The Saudi Arabian delegation walked out of his speech.
