Iran ready to resume ties with Egypt: Iranian diplomat

TEHRAN, Feb. 21 (MNA) – The director of Iran’s Interests Section in Cairo, Mojtaba Amani,said that if the Egyptian government wants, the Islamic Republic of Iran is keen to resume relations as soon as possible. However, the resumption of Tehran-Cairo ties needs a change in Egyptian rules, which have put obstacles in the way of the two countries, Amani said in an interview with an Egyptian television network.
