Iranian ICP deputy secretary general says refused to be on Mardomsalari candidate list

TEHRAN, Feb. 20 (MNA) - Asadollah Badamchian, the deputy secretary general of the Islamic Coalition Party (ICP), said he has rejected an offer by Mardomsalari Party chief Mostafa Kavakebian that his name be on the list of the reformist leaning Mardomsalari Front in the campaign for the parliamentary election. “Mr. Kavakebian requested me to put my name on the list of Mardomsalari but since I consider myself affiliated to principlists I did not accept to be on the election list of the rival,” Badamchian told.
