Iran`s ‘Great Coalition of Principlists’ changes name

TEHRAN, Feb. 27 (MNA) – Hassan Ghafouri-Fard, who had been campaigning for the March 2 parliamentary election along with other candidates on his list under the banner of the “The Great Coalition of Principlists,” announced on Sunday that he has changed the name of the list to “the Path of the Nation and Followers of Velayat.” He made the decision because Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Mahdavi Kani and Ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi, two prominent principlist figures, had expressed dissatisfaction with the name of the list.
