Iraqi PM to travel to Iran: report

TEHRAN, Feb.2 (MNA) – Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki plans to pay a visit to Tehran and hold talks with a number of high-ranking Iranian officials in the near future, an Iraqi newspaper reported. According to the Al Mada newspaper, Maliki will make an unexpected trip to Iran to discuss bilateral issues. The newspaper also claimed that the Iraqi prime minister will carry a message from U.S. President Barack Obama for Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
