Kofi Annan discusses Syria with Iranian foreign minister

TEHRAN, Feb. 28 (MNA) – Kofi Annan, the UN-Arab League joint special envoy on Syria, held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi over the Syrian crisis in Geneva on Monday. The request for the meeting came from Annan, the former UN secretary general. Salehi elaborated on Iran’s view toward the crisis in Syria with an insistence that the conflict in the country should be resolved through dialogue without foreign interference.
