Latvian Prime Minister’s visit to help boost ties: Mohammed bin Rashid

Abu Dhabi, March 12, 2012 (WAM) - President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received yesterday a letter from the President of Latvia Andris Berzins. The letter dealing with bilateral relations between UAE and Latvia was received by Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum when he welcomed the Latvian Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Mohammed expressed the wish that the current visit by the Latvian prime minister to the UAE will contribute towards enhancing the bilateral ties between UAE and Latvia. Dombrovskis said that he is touring the UAE to familiarise himself with the remarkable development and progress the country has achieved in various avenues. He also stressed that the visit will pave way for building relations of cooperation between the two countries benefitting from the vast possibilities and expertise of the UAE. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
