'Resistance Front has a month to decide on joining principlalists'

YAZD, Feb.1 (MNA) – A top Iranian principlist said the Islamic Revolution Resistance Front (IRRF) has only one-month to decide to form a coalition with the United Front of Principlists in the run-up to the March 2 parliamentary elections. “The friends in the Resistance Front have to decide in the one month left,” Manouchehr Mottaki, the UFP executive secretary, told . However, Mottaki said the UFP will “respect whatever decision they take.” Mottaki, a former foreign minister, said the UFP will release the final list of its candidates next week. The IRRF is a splinter principlist group mainly formed of figures who served in Ahmadinejad’s first administration. It maintains that other groups purporting to be principlists are not “true principlists”.
