Sanctions on Iran are psyops : Iranian FM official

TEHRAN,Feb.8(MNA)-- Asked if the Central Bank of Iran has assets in the United States, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said, “Most of the measures that are being taken are in line with psychological warfare and propagandistic measures… and cannot affect our cooperation with other countries.” “They think that they can exert pressure on our people, cause worry, (and) provoke social discontent through such measures to accomplish the purposes they have been pursuing for years. I think officials of Western countries can receive the response to such measures from our great nation on the 22nd of (the Iranian calendar month of) Bahman.” Iranian people will hold rallies across the country on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11) to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
