U.S. is using human rights as a tool : Iranian Majlis speaker

TEHRAN, Jan. 31(MNA) – During a separate meeting in Palembang on Monday with Pandikar Amin Mulia, the speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, the lower house of the Parliament of Malaysia, Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said that the U.S. is using the human rights issue as a tool. He also emphasized the importance of cementing ties among Islamic countries and said, “There is an extremist view that is seeking to cause conflict among Islamic sects.” In the meeting, Pandikar expressed satisfaction with the good interaction between Shia and Sunni Muslims in Iran and said that the Malaysian nation respects the Iranian people. He also said that the Islamic Revolution of Iran serves as a model for the recent revolutions occurring in the region.
