Asian Games: Qatar to Face Iran in Men's Volleyball Semi-Finals Thursday

Jakarta, August 30 (QNA) - Qatar volleyball team will meet their Iranian counterpart on Thursday in the semi-finals of men's volleyball tournament of the 18th Asian Games, which is being held in Indonesia and continues until September 2. The squad is expected to play a strong and exciting match in light of their strong performance in the first round or in quarter-finals, especially as the Qatari team performed well in their match against the Japanese and won the match. The Qatari team, led by Italian coach Camilo Soto, conducted training session focusing on various aspects and stretching exercises to decompress the muscles after the match against Japan. The coach tried to conduct some tactical exercises and studied some of the points on which the Iranian team are focusing. Meanwhile, the Qatari handball team continue to prepare for the upcoming encounter with their Bahraini counterparts on Friday in the final match to determine the gold medal. The team conducted a light training in the sports village sports, while their main training will focus on tactical aspects that will be applied in the game. The team player Frankis Carol arrived in the Indonesian capital Jakarta today, and he is expected to support the team in the final match after he missed the last six games because of playing with his Portuguese team.
