BRAVE International Combat Week will cement Bahrain's international position

Manama, Nov. 7 (BNA): HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa,  First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Honorary President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF), President of the High Organising Committee of Bahrain International Combat Week, confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has the required capabilities and high competencies to embrace various international sports events, underlining his confidence that Bahrain will succeed in accommodating the upcoming BRAVE International Combat Week, which will take place under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa,   Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC). Organised by the BMMAF in collaboration with the IMMAF, the event will take place on November 11-18 at Khalifa Sports City's GYM. And HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa underscored that the event will bolster Bahrain's international position in the MMA sport. This came during HH Shaikh Khalid's visit to Khalifa Sports City's GYM, accompanied by HE Mr Abdulrahman Askar, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council four Youth and Sports and BOC, HE Mr Khalid Abdulaziz Al Khayyat, President of the Executive Committee of BRAVE International Combat Week,  Kerrith Brown, IMMAF President, Densign White, CEO of IMMAF, and members of the Executive Committee and other committees involved in organising the function.  During his visit, he toured the GYM to review its readiness to host the event as well as the expo which will be organised on the sidelines of the event. Moreover, HH Shaikh Khalid was briefed by HE Mr Al Khayyat on the ongoing preparations for hosting the event and its accompanied functions.  "The Kingdom of Bahrain has been able to dazzle the world in hosting and organising the BRAVE International Combat Week last year as it featured the 4th IMMAF World Championships; the first one to be held on Middle East soil. Thanks to this, the Kingdom has won the trust and confidence of the IMMAF which has given Bahrain the rights to organise the fifth and sixth editions, making Bahrain the first country in the world to host this event for three consecutive years," HH Shaikh Khalid said.  He further added: "We are on the verge of a new dawn for the biggest MMA sports event which the BRAVE International Combat Week, which will feature the 5th IMMAF World Championships and the 18th BRAVE Championship. We look forward to continuing our success in this sport through this international sports gathering to confirm to everyone that Bahrain is a leading host for top MMA sports events." Furthermore, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa valued the sponsorship of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa of the event, expressing his utmost thanks and appreciation to everyone working in organising it.  At the end of the visit, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa received a souvenir from HE Mr Al Khayyat.
