Iran fifth in Asian Handball Championship

TEHRAN,Feb.5(MNA)--Iran finished in fifth place in the 15th Asian Men's Handball Championship on Friday. Iran defeated Bahrain 25-20 and finished in fifth place. In the competitions, which is underway in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Qatar will play in final match on Sunday and Saudi Arabia face Japan in bronze medal match. The Persians lost to Kuwait (26-27) and South Korea (21-26) and defeated Jordan (25-17), Japan (27-25) and Bahrain (25-20) in the competitions. The three top ranked teams of the Asian Men's Championship will qualify for the 2013 IHF World Handball Championship in Spain.
