Persepolis coach rebuffs speculations he wants to become Turkey FA president

TEHRAN,Feb.7(MNA) – Persepolis football coach Mustafa Denizli said that he is not going to take part in the Turkish Football Federation presidency. Speaking to reporters during the Persepolis – Fajr Sepasi pre-match on Monday, Denizli said, “When I was in Turkey they wanted me to take part in the football federation presidency but I rejected that. Afterward, they telephoned me but I didn’t accept it.” Last week, from two goals down, Persepolis beat its arch-rival Esteghlal 3-2 in Tehran derby. “The derby is finished and I’ve told my players to forget the match. We have to focus on in the remaining matches,” the 63-year-old coach said.
