Qatar Participates in Moscow Marathon

Moscow, May 27 (QNA) - Qatar participated in the Moscow Marathon, which was held today with the participation of 28,000 athletes from 70 countries who competed in the 42.2 km race. The Qatari participation was highlighted by the support and sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Qatar Sports Federation for all, as part of the Qatar-Russia 2018 Year of Culture. Qatar was represented in the marathon contestants Faisal Al Qahtani and Abdulaziz Al Tamimi. A number of leading sports brands, medicine companies, charity foundations, athletes and people with disabilities participated in the event. Former Olympic champions also took part. Al Qahtani and Al Tamimi expressed their delight to participate in the event and represent the State of Qatar in such an important international event. (QNA)
