Qatari Driver Abdulrahman Fakhroo Participates in US Formula Drift

Doha, May 02 (QNA) - Qatari driver Abdulrahman Fakhroo will participate in the 14th edition of U.S. Formula Drift in Pro 2 category, which features four rounds over four days and kicks off on May 9 with the participation of 40 drifters. Fakhroo expressed his delight to be the first Arab driver to take part in the championship, noting that he will compete against some of the world's best drivers. He added that his main target is to develop his level and gain more experience. The Qatari driver said he prepared well for the first round and worked on his Mustang 2014 that he will compete with, expressing hope that he will promote Qatar's name in the event and obtain a global Pro 2 license, thus qualifying to participate in the Pro 1 competition. U.S. Formula Drift comprises four rounds, with each of them taking place in a different state. The first round will be staged in Georgia on May 9, the second will be in Missouri in August, the third will take place in Texas in September before the last one in California a month later. Fakhroo had won the Doha round of Red Bull Car Park Drift Series in 2016 and 2017. (QNA)
