Qatar's Haroun Ranked Second in 400m of Diamond League Doha Round

Doha, May 04 (QNA) - Qatar's Abdalelah Haroun won second place in men's 400m in Doha round of the athletics Diamond League, which is currently held at Qatar Sports Club with the participation of many world champions. Haroun scored 44.50 seconds while Bahamas runner, Steven Gardiner lead the race with 43.87 seconds. Botswana's runner Mikwala Isak was ranked third at 44.92 seconds. Qatar's Abdalelah Haroun is holder of bronze medal at World Championship 2017, held in London in the 400 meters race. He is also world champion of U-20 and world silver medalist of 2016 world championships. In 2018 he became the first champion to win the 400m Asian Championships for the second time in a row. The record for the Diamond League is held by South African runner Van Niekerk, which is 43.62 seconds. (QNA)
