QHA Announces List of National Team in Preparation for Handball World Cup in Germany and Denmark

Doha, November 01 (QNA) - Qatar Handball Association (QHA) announced the list of national team players in preparation for the Handball World Cup to be held in Germany and Denmark from 10 to 27 January 2019. The team included 18 players from Al Ahli, Al Sadd, Al Rayyan, Al Gharafa, Al Wakrah, and Qatar SC. The team will begin training on Monday under the leadership of Spanish coach Valero Rivera. The draw of the World Championship placed the Qatari team in Group D along with Sweden, Hungary, Argentina, Egypt and Angola. Qatar's team will start their match with Angola on Friday (January 11) 2019 and play against Egypt on Sunday (January 13), and they will play their third match against Hungary on Monday (January 14). Their fourth match against Sweden will be on Wednesday (January 16). The team will play in the preliminary round against Argentina on Thursday (January 17). (QNA)
