QHA President: IHF Super Globe Successful in All Aspects

Doha, October 20 (QNA) - Ahmed Al Shaabi, President of the Qatar Handball Association (QHA) and head of the organizing committee of the 2018 International Handball Federation (IHF) Super Globe which concluded in Doha Friday, said that the championship was successful in all respects. In his remarks, Al Shaabi said that Qatari handball has benefited from Doha's hosting of the championship, pointing out that the teams that participated in this edition performed well and the tournament was one of the strongest championships in both technical and organizational levels. QHA President expressed his happiness over the success of this edition of the IHF Super Globe in Qatar for the ninth year in a row, noting that this edition has achieved a remarkable success and presented a good picture to the IHF with regards to Qatari cadres and their ability to host the largest international tournaments. On Al Sadd's participation in this edition of the championship, the QHA head said that the team's young players played well, but the results did not live up to the level of ambition, where Al Sadd finished in fourth place after losing today against the French Montpellier, hoping that the team would have benefited from their participation in the tournament. IHF President Dr Hassan Mustafa said that the 2018 Super Globe hosed by Qatar for the ninth times in a row has been a great success in every aspects, noting that it has achieved its main goal of promoting handball in the region, especially on the Asian level. He added that the QHA is a key partner in this great success, adding credit goes to our brothers in Qatar, who confirmed their readiness to host any tournament at any time and make it a success in all aspects. The IHF President also praised the organizational level of this edition of the tournament, noting that its organization was distinctive in all respects. (QNA)
