Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa receives Asian Volleyball chief

Manama, July 21 (BNA): Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Second Deputy Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee Honorary President Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa received today Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) President Saleh bin Nasser, on the sidelines of the 19th Asian Men’s U20 Volleyball Championship being held in Bahrain. Joining them in the visit were AVC General Secretary Chang Chin Jong and GCC Volleyball Federation Chairman and Kuwait Volleyball Association President Waleed Aman. Others present at the gathering were Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA) President Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, BVA Vice-President and Local Organising Committee Executive Director Jehad Khalfan, and BVA General Secretary Feras Halwachi. Shaikh Isa bin Rashid expressed the enthusiasm of Bahrain in hosting this year’s Asian under-20 championship, and also stressed the continuous support of Bahrain for the AVC and its programmes. On his part, bin Nasser relayed his sincerest thanks to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s leadership, the government and its people for the warm welcome received by all those competing in the championship. He also praised the outstanding efforts of HE Shaikh Isa bin Rashid in the development of the game of volleyball in Bahrain, across the region and in Asia.
