Shaikh Nasser’s directives on e-transformation implemented

Manama, Sept. 7 (BNA): Youth and Sports Affairs Minister, Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowdar, said that the Ministry had launched a number of projects to implement the directives of HM the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on e-transformation. HH Shaikh Nasser recently gave directives to stop using office paper supplies, and replace them by environment-friendly means of modern technological in communications and transactions, starting from January 2019. The Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gulf Future Business (GFB) Group, as one of the initiatives to speed up e-transformation through consolidating the use of information systems by clubs, youth and sports centres and all sports facilities that are affiliated with the Ministry, and enhancing the Bahraini youth’s information and communication technology (ICT) skills. Overall, the MoU, which was signed at the premises of Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, aims to boost the efforts to cope with the digital transformation among the sports and youth institutions and the Ministry’s employees. Al-Jowdar pointed out that the MoU is within the Ministry’s constant keenness to develop its work through taking advantage of modern technology, providing the best e-solutions and reducing the use of paper.
