Sports federations’ plans discussed
Manama, Dec. 4 (BNA): The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) had a series of meetings with national sports federations to offer all means of support in an attempt to fulfil their respective needs for the upcoming programmes.
In the first meeting, Bahrain Triathlon Federation president Dr Shaikh Saqer bin Salman Al Khalifa and other board members met with BOC executive director for sports affairs Abduljalil Asad and sports federations specialist Saleha Al Rumaihi.
The BOC representatives then had a fruitful second meeting with Bahrain Cricket Association delegation, comprising president Saleem Elyas and other board members. Asad, along with legal consultant Salah Khedr, federations affairs director Hisham Al Bqlooshi and sports federations specialist Aqeel Ali were present from the BOC side.
Also during these meetings, representatives of the two federations had talks with BOC officials on their respective plans and programmes, as well as following up the implementation of their strategies, while thanking them for their efforts to live up to their aspirations.
BOC representatives were also briefed on the participations of both federations besides their hosting events plans and financial and administrative reports and their adhering to the rules and regulations of the committee.
Asad praised the orderly administrative work of both federations and their keenness to implement their respective strategy, which are in line with the BOC regulations, in order to achieve common aspirations and goals.
