Uganda FM: Supreme Leader’s remarks prove Iran’s love for peace

Tehran, Aug 31, IRNA – Uganda Foreign Minister Okello Oryem said here on Friday that the remarks of the Iranian Supreme Leader at NAM opening session proved Iran’s love for peace in world. Talking to IRNA prior to his departure from Tehran, he said the remarks of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in the opening of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit on Thursday indicated Iran’s will to promote peace and pursue the sublime objectives of the NAM member states. He also said all NAM members including Iran are after achieving the objective of creating global peace. The foreign minister believed that Iran has already taken effective steps towards materializing this goal during its three-year presidency over the organization. Oryem hoped that Iran’s NAM presidency will be of remarkable outcomes for the member states. The 16th NAM Summit opened Thursday morning in Tehran with the inaugural speech of the Supreme Leader.
