Zimbabwe President Terms NAM Meeting As Significant

Tehran, Aug 30, IRNA - Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe described the ongoing NAM meeting in Tehran as a significant event which plays a key role in the international equations. Talking to reporters Wednesday evening, President Mugabe urged the Non-Aligned Movement member states to preserve their unity in order to play effective role in solving global and regional crises. The Zimbabwean president reiterated that the movement was established to fight western colonialism. He, at the end, hoped the 16th NAM Summit meeting in the Iranian capital would bring favorable outcomes./end
