Mammadyarov wins Caruana at Tata Steel Chess Tournament

Baku, January 18, AZERTAC Azerbaijan`s grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov has defeated American Fabiano Caruana in the fifth round of the 80th Tata Steel Chess Tournament in Wijk aan Zee, the Netherlands. After five rounds, Mammadyarov has 3.5 points and shares the top spot along with Anish Giri and Viswanathan Anand. The tournament will run till January 28.
