Japanese Official Strongly Opposes US Nuclear Plans

Tehran, Aug 30, IRNA -- Representative Director of Japan's Asia, Africa, Latin America Solidarity Committee, Sakae Komatsuzaki, on Wednesday voiced strong objection to the US nuclear development. Talking to IRNA on the sidelines of the meeting of NAM Foreign Ministers, Sakae recalled the US bombing of Hiroshima and Nagazaki and said the US can not justify the act. He said annually big rallies are held in Japan in condemnation of nuclear weapons, calling for abolition of such weapons. He condemned state terrorism responding to a question about assassination of Iranian scientists by Israeli agents and said that terrorism can not solve anything. He also welcomed Iran’s using peaceful nuclear energy. Asked whether he had provided NAM Summit with any idea, he handed a written brochure which highlighted abrogation of Japan-US security treaty that would open up new horizon./end
