Emirates mobile hospital concludes treatment programmes in Haiti
Port-au-Prince - Feb 14, 2010 (WAM)- The Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital for emergency has ended its programmes for the victims of the Haitian earthquake. More than 1,100 people benefitted from its medical services in Port-au-Prince.
The hospital distributed medicines and medical to over 9,000 people at the Haitian hospitals The hospital provided services for ten days to support the quake victims with poor health conditions. These services came as part of the continuous efforts to ease the sufferings of the Haitian people. The humanitarian aid comes under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Emirati Hospital for emergency was launched as an initiative of The UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) in partnership with the Emirati International Humanitarian Hospital. It has taken part in the aid extended from Abu Dhabi to Haiti. It included several fields of vital medical specialisations in different medical branches in addition to a laboratory and a pharmacy.
Several specialisations, doctors, technicians and nurses from UAE, Egypt, France, USA and Argentina participated in the programmes as volunteers under the umbrella of UAE Red Crescent Authority.
