Dubai, Feb 21, 2010 (WAM)- Dubai Press Club announced yesterday that it would launch a fresh bouquet of services and facilities as part of a special membership campaign to be held during the month of March.
Maryam Bint Fahad, Executive Director, Dubai Press Club, said: "This initiative comes as part of the new strategy of the Press Club, which was put in place on the occasion of its 10th anniversary. The Press Club was established in November 1999 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai." Bint Fahad pointed out that the Press Club delegation that recently toured various Arab capitals and local media organisations listened to the views and recommendations of media persons. As per their suggestions, the new membership package was developed in line with the professional requirements of the journalists in the changed circumstances so as to serve them better, she added.
Adel Ibrahim, Senior Operations Manager, said, "The new membership package will include unprecedented and excellent services and privileges. The package is designed to accommodate the entire journalistic fraternity across platforms, including audio-visual and print media, media students and teachers, Public Relations firms and media consultancies. The package enjoys the support of around 100 business firms in the UAE." Adel Ibrahim called up on UAE organisations to take advantage of the new membership package and come up with offers to support it. "It is a rare opportunity for them to connect to the media fraternity in the region. The Press Club will try to function as a connecting link between the media and other spheres of life in the Arab region," he added.
Adel Ibrahim said that the new package will be launched at a special event in March and open to all journalists at the Press Club premises. "The details of the new package will be unveiled at the event and I would like to assure that it would be best membership package for journalists in the entire Arab world," he added.
