UAE, Jordan hold judicial talks
Abu Dhabi, March 4, 2010 (WAM)- UAE Justice Minister Dr. Hadef Al Dhahiri held talks yesterday with his Jordanian counterpart Dr Ayman Awedh over programmes of boosting joint cooperation and exchange of experts and expertise.
During the talks, the UAE minister gave a presentation of his ministry's vision in light of the federal government strategy. The minister lauded judicial cooperation between the UAE and Jordan and highlighted efforts being made by the two sisterly countries to push the existing close cooperation to new heights through exchange of programmes, knowledge and experiences in order to deliver excellent, integrated legal and judicial services.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the UAE Institute of Training and Judicial Studies and Judicial Institute of Jordan for exchanging of programmes, visits and best practices.
Later, the Jordanian visited the Federal Supreme Court in Abu Dhabi where he was welcomed Chairman of the Court Dr. Abdul Wahab Abdul who briefed the guest on the role of the apex court in the UAE judicial system.
