Sheikha Fatima: Social Responsibility is a national duty and true message in serving humanity
Cairo - March 24, 2010 (WAM)- HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), and Chairperson of the UAE General Women's Union, said that UAE's policy under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision stresses that sustainable development is based on a safe society and an open and viable economy.
In an address to the third Annual Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Cairo and read on her behalf by Ali Salim Al Ka'abi, Director of the Office of the Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikha Fatima reiterated that social responsibility is a national duty for all citizens and the private sector firms are no more depending on their profits only, but their roles towards social responsibility and that was proved by developed economies' success in the field of development. The conference was held today in Cairo under the patronage of HE Dr. Ahmed Nazif, Prime Minister of Egypt . Senior Arab and foreign experts and specialists attended the event.
Sheikha Fatima hailed the leader and the people of Egypt on the occasion of holding the conference that tackles important issues aim to empower humanity worldwide to lead better life due to the strict bound to the social aspect and the economic sector.
Sheikha Fatima added that the main challenge for conducting social responsibility is the nature of being abstract and it obviously appears in the initiatives and events that depend on the environmental background.
She added that social responsibility is a true message in serving humanity .She cited that while reviewing the humanity and countries cultural achievements in the context of social responsibility ,we will see distinguished and successful experiences which present vital motive for new initiatives.
