Skytrax grants ADIA Most Improved Airport Award

Brussels - March 25, 2010 (WAM)_ The Skytrax World Airport Awards were announced this evening at the first ever live ceremony in Brussels, Belgium, as part of the Passenger Terminal Expo.
Abu Dhabi International Airport scored a major success with the Most Improved Airport title, after jumping 47 positions in the rankings to secure the world's No 26 Rating.
The award was received by Khalifa Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Chairman and Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC).
Al Mazrouei expressed his gratitude and said that Abu Dhabi Airports Company seeks to provide an ideal travelling environment and modern facilities within the Abu Dhabi International Airport, that today houses the new third terminal building, contributed to rise in the number of passengers up to about 12 million annually, in addition to the luxury shops, Duty free, cafes and services, such as, free Internet and a parking lot with latest operating systems and a capacity for 1600 cars.
Abu Dhabi International Airport is currently witnessing the most important and biggest redevelopment and expansion implementations costing billions of dollars to increase its capacity to receive about 20 million passengers annually.
