UAE President sends verbal note to Syrian President
Damascus - March 25, 2010 (WAM)- Syrian President Bashar Al Assad received yesterday UAE Foreign Minister HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed to the Syrian head of state a message from UAE President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan dealing with fraternal bilateral ties and latest developments in the Arab World.
A Syrian presidential statement said talks between the President of Syrian and UAE Foreign Minister covered agenda of the upcoming Arab Summit in Libya and efforts being made to enforce Arab joint action and the need for the Arab summit to come out with decisive resolutions towards the Arab issues in particular the Palestinian Cause.
The Syrian President stressed that the summit should concentrate on closing Arab ranks and spare the occupied Jerusalem from the Israeli schemes.
