Gargash takes part in the Arab Peace Initiative Committee meeting

Sirte, Libya - March 28, 2010 (WAM)- UAE State Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the meeting held by the Arab Peace Initiative Committee in presence of United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon. The meeting discussed a number of issues, notably, the Israeli incessant practices against Jerusalem. The UN Secretary General briefed the meeting about the recent statement issued by of the Middle East Peace Quartet and the efforts being exerted to push peace process forward. The participants in the meeting stressed the Arab attitude against the Israeli practices to derail peace process, reiterating their firm support to the Palestinian people. They underlined that peace is strategic option, calling on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities.
