Ministry of Foreign Trade hosts US delegation
Abu Dhabi, Mar 30, 2010 (WAM)- Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Trade (MoFT) Abdullah Ahmed Al-Saleh on Monday received a delegation of assistants to US Congress members who are on a current visit to the UAE.
The meeting discussed investment and trade relations between the two countries as well as investment opportunities provided by the UAE's non-oil sectors which, according to Al-Saleh, accounted for 66% of the UAE's GDP in 2009.
Al-Saleh further stressed the UAE's interest in furthering cooperation with the US in areas such as trade, technology, renewable energy and scientific research. He also stressed that the UAE provides attractive opportunities for foreign investors from around the globe.
