Safety, rehabilitation top leadership's priority: Interior Minister
Abu Dhabi, April 13, 2010 (WAM)- H.H Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior stressed that human safety, rehabilitation, training and empowerment are the UAE top leadership's priority. He further underscored team work and close cooperation among concerned parties and authorities in order to maintain security, safety, prosperity of the country and the public.
Sheikh Saif made his remarks in a speech at the opening ceremony of a workshop on search and rescue leaderships, co-organised by the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi and the Interior Ministry at Yas Hotel.
14 ministries and federal and local authorities are taking part in the 3-day workshop which aims to assess the UAE's search and rescue capabilities identify any weaknesses and improve public safety services being provided by the government to nationals and expatriates. Major General Nasser Al-Raysi, Head of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, called upon "participants to express views clearly and frankly in order to be able to solve issues" raised at the workshop.
