UAE FNC Speaker offers condolences on Kaczynski death
Abu Dhabi, April 13, 2010 (WAM)- Speaker of the UAE's Federal National Council, or FNC, Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al-Ghurair has visited the Polish Embassy in Abu Dhabi to offer condolences on the death of Polish President Lech Kaczynski in a plane crash late last week in Western Russia.
Al-Ghurair who was received by Ambassador of Poland to the UAE Roman Chalaczkiewicz and members of the staff of the Polish mission expressed profound sympathy and heartfelt sympathy to the family of Kaczynski and the government and people of Poland.
In a note in the Embassy's book of condolences, Al-Ghurair expressed confidence that the people of Poland will overcome this sad ordeal.
Kaczynski and his wife were among 96 killed in a plane crash on Saturday in Smolensk, western Russia. The accident also claimed dozens of high-ranking officials, including the head of the national bank and the army chief of staff.
