FNC Speaker meets French politician
Abu Dhabi, April 14, 2010 (WAM)- Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC) Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Ghurair met here yesterday Jean-Francois Cope, leader of the ruling party in the French parliament. They discussed ways of enhancing friendship and cooperation between the two countries in various avenues, especially the parliamentary field.
During the meeting, they reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two countries in various sectors, including tourism and investment.
Al Ghurair also gave a brief account of the gradual development of parliament in the UAE over the last 38 years. He also shed light on the participation of women in political life and parliamentary representation.
Jean-Francois Cope expressed his appreciation of the gradual evolution of parliamentary movement in the United Arab Emirates and hailed the comprehensive renaissance in the country.
