Hamdan bin Mohammed meets Norwegian Crown Prince
Dubai, April 15, 2010 (WAM)- Dubai Crown Prince HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met here in Dubai at Al Qasr Hotel in Dubai visiting HRH Prince Haakon Magnus, of Norway and visiting entourage.
The two officials discussed the economic relations between the UAE and Norway and ways to enhance mutual trade exchange between the two sides. The mutual trade between the two sides is still humble as it does not match the level of friendship ties between the two governments and peoples at all levels.
Prince Haakon Magnus expressed confidence of his government about the UAE economy and brisk market despite the global economic downturn, citing stability enjoyed by the Norwegian companies operating in the UAE. He added that his visit to the UAE was exploratory and aimed at building bridges for setting up potential promising economic and trade partnership in the best interest of the two countries and people.
For his part, Sheikh Hamdan welcomed Prince Haakon Magnus and briefed him about new steps adopted by Dubai government based on transparency principle regarding the governmental financial sector, public economic, financial and investment institutions, as well as semi governmental institutions.
