UAE a favourite destination for GCC citizens: Arab and International report

Cairo - April 21, 2010 (WAM)- The Arab report on labour mobility between the UAE and countries in the region, stressed that the UAE is a major destination to greater number of the GCC citizens due to its financial sector growth, availability of jobs and better living conditions. According to the report prepared by International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the Arab Labour Organisation (ALO), the UAE is attractive destination because of good salaries and demand for foreign expertise. It praised the steps taken by the GCC towards economic integration regarding progress in setting up monetary union for the GCC and plans to issue unified currency.
