UAE Ambassador reviews latest International developments with EU president

Brussels - April 21, 2010 (WAM)- H.E Mohammed Salem Al Suweidi, UAE Ambassador to Belgium, Head of UAE Mission to European Union, Dean of Arab Diplomatic Corps and H.E Herman van Rompuy, President of the European Union, have reviewed the latest situation in Arab, European and International Affairs.
They discussed the current situation of Palestine and role of the European Union in moving the peace process forward, supporting efforts done by the US administration for urging Israeli government to put an end to settlements and the establishment of a Palestinian state, according to international laws.
During a luncheon hosted by UAE Ambassador Al Suweidi at his residence in honour of Herman Van, they discussed Iranian nuclear issue emphasising the importance of a diplomatic resolution. Al Suweidi condemned terrorism in all its forms and stressed the importance of Arab-European dialogue, appraising the role of the European Commission in organising the "Interfaith Dialogue" annually in Brussels.
