Mohammed bin Zayed receives Crown Prince of Perak

Abu Dhabi, April 28, 2010 (WAM) - General H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received in Abu Dhabi yesterday Raja Dr Nazrin Shah ibni Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah, the Crown Prince of the Malaysian state of Perak and the Financial Ambassador of the Malaysia International Islamic Financial Centre (MIFC) initiative. They discussed ways to boost ties of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the economic and investment fields.
Raja Nazrin is leading a delegation on a visit to the UAE to discuss issues of Islamic finance and investment and to explore opportunities for investment in the Islamic finance.
Afterwards, Sheikh Mohammed received the Director-General of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Irena Bokova.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed indicated that the UAE, under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was keen to support all forms of human development in the world.
Ms Bokova said she was pleased to meet with Sheikh Mohammed and to be in the UAE. She praised the keenness shown by the UAE leadership to improve educational, cultural and scientific standards and to develop capabilities of the UAE citizens. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
