UAE Ambassador to Portugal presents credentials to President
Lisbon - April 29, 2010 (WAM)- Ambassador of the UAE to Portugal Saqr Nasser Ahmed Al-Raysee on Wednesday presented his credentials to H.E President of Portugal Anibal Antonio Cavaco Silva in a ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Lisbon. At the meeting, Al-Raysee conveyed greetings from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and people of the UAE to President Cavaco Silva who expressed his best wishes for the UAE and its leadership.
The ambassador said he would not spare efforts to further promote relations between the UAE and Portugal.
President Cavaco Silva expressed appreciation of the opening of the UAE embassy in Lisbon. He also expressed admiration of the progress made by the UAE in recent years. The UAE has become an international trade hub thanks to this progress and its policy also demonstrated that peace among nations is the basis of prosperity and progress.
