Sudanese President receives Hamdan bin Zayed

Khartoum - May 4, 2010 (WAM)- President Omer Hassan Al Bashir of Sudan received yesterday H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region.
Present were H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education '&' Scientific Research, Lt. General Bakri Hassan Saleh, Sudanese minister of Presidential Affairs, Ali Ahmed Karti, Sudanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Hassan Ahmed Sulaiman Al Shihi, UAE Ambassador to Khartoum.
Sheikh Hamdan conveyed to President Al Bashir greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and General H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on his re-election as President of Sudan.
"Sudan is heading towards further stability under the wise leadership of President Al Bashir. We are pleased to see the remarkable progress in UAE's relations with brotherly Sudan," he said.
The Sudanese President asked Sheikh Hamdan to pass his greetings to Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, wishing them good health and wishing further prosperity and progress to the people of the UAE.
Al Bashir praised the progressive relations between the two countries and reiterated his government's keenness to extend all forms of support and facilities to the Emirati investment projects in Sudan.
President Al Bashir and Sheikh Hamdan also exchanged views on means for boosting bilateral ties in the different domains.
