Luxembourg senior officials visit UAE Pavilion at World Expo 2010

Shanghai - May 5, 2010 (WAM)- Luxembourg's Minister of Economy '&' Foreign Trade Jeannot Krecke and Ambassador of Luxembourg to China Carlo Krieger have visited the UAE pavilion at the World Expo 2010 Shanghai fair, being held in China.
The two senior officials were welcomed at the venue by Deputy Chairman of the National Media Council (NMC) and Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion Salem Al-Ameri and Deputy Commissioner General Abdulla Al-Aidarous.
The visitors who toured the UAE pavilion expressed admiration at the progress made by the UAE and the prestigious international status it has achieved in areas such as renewable energy.
The Luxembourg delegation said the UAE pavilion provides a platform for interaction with business leaders from around the world to view the investment opportunities and potential offered by the UAE economy.
Meanwhile, the UAE national Folklore Troupe, an affiliate of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, gave live traditional performances at the UAE pavilion. The performances attracted a large number of spectators.
UAE pavilion occupies an area of 6000 square meters in the heart of the Expo site showcasing the prosperity, harmony, culture and innovativeness of the UAE to the world.
Expo 2010 is the largest World Expo ever and is expected to attract 70 million visitors over a six-month period, May 1st to October 31st, 2010, the largest World Expo ever.
