Abdullah bin Zayed holds series of bilateral meetings in New York
New York - May 6, 2010 (WAM)- HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister held series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) review conference at the UN headquarters in New York with a number of the conference participants.
The meetings yesterday included an official call on with Ban Ki-moon, United Nations Secretary-General where both sides discussed a number of topics and important political issues in the forefront the Palestinian issue and the situation in the Middle East.
Those who met Sheikh Abdullah also included Lene Espersen, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark and Werner HOYER, Deputy Prime Minister of Germany. They reviewed positions of their countries towards the main topics on the Conference agenda in addition to discussing bilateral relations and means of boosting them in various fields.
Sheikh Abdullah earlier yesterday also met, Jeffrey Feltman, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs. They discussed the common positions on the Palestinian issue and the situation in the Middle East.
